This is my horror story of using Tata Photon plus. Last December I decided to cancell my photon connection after having some speed issue. My photon plus number was 9239552711 and I was using 15 GB 1500 Rs pm plan. A guy named Somnath Karmakar called me then and requested me to keep my number in safe custody for three months. After finishing 3 months this guy again called me and told me that he had converted my number to Pre Paid and asked to to recharge and use it.
I was stunned when I got a bill from Photon Plus of Rs 1500 last few days back and guys asking from Photon Plus asking me to pay the bill. I then called customer care mailed them to look after this matter. Even the bill is showing 0 MB usage. I also called Somnath Karmakar(mobile number 9230018335) this guy again confirmed me that he had converted the number to Pre Paid and asked me not to pay the bill. After several conversation with Tata Customer care one guy told me that he will convert it to Pre Paid and send a person to my residence and confirmed they will resolve the matter. But in between I was again called from their bill department to pay the bill. This evening I was again called this time in a very unfriendly manner may be he is kind of local gunda paid by Tata to threaten people.
My only mistake was I took a wrong decision to keep the number in safe custody. Before reactivating I was never confirmed by mail or phone from Tata, I was completely unaware. This company is completely unorganised and never hesitates to cheat people. It’s a shame for such a big brand they behaves horrible towards their customers. Before the incident I used Tata Photon for almost 3-4 months and always made the payment before due date. Go for any brand Airtel, Vodafone, BSNL for Broad Band connection but never trust Tata Photon and never use Post Paid connection they will make you suffer a lot. This is the worst brand in this country.
