I bought this photon + prepaid thinking it would have some great speed and reliability. But was absolutely disillusioned with this piece of useless plastic which soon started to become expensive day by day.
My experience was as follows:
The guy at the indicom office in vidyaranyapura bangalore was initially very nice to me when he was selling the product.Everything went well he activated the product and then I filled up all the relevant docs.
The trouble started the moment I tried connecting to the net.I had speed for a few minutes and then it just goes down and I have to reconnect again.This went on for a few days and when I tried calling their pathetic woeful call center those people had no idea what the problem was.On guy went to the extent of telling me to reinstall windows.Beat that for real Tech support.
Then to compound my problems after 7 days they deactivated my connection saying that my address proof was fake.This made me furious and I vowed to take legal action against tata indicom if they don’t reactivate my connection.I think that worked and within a few minuted that guy called me back saying no problem with the id proof and they will activate it by a day.So that problem was solved.
Now the biggest problem with prepaid tata photon+ is it deducts from your account big time even if you use it just for mails.The useless call center failed to give me an explaination why so much amount is deducted from my account in spite of minimum usage every day.Recharging started to make a big hole in my pocket.Once when I had recharged for 500 bucks it vanished withing a week inspite of not using it.Thats when I decided to throw this useless device and now Iam happy since no more unwanted spending.
My advice to potential buyers please simply dont buy this product. You will be wasting a lot of money after buying the useless piece of plastic.There is no speed as promised by the company....Dont waste your precious earned money on this product cos I think if I had given the money spent on this to a poor family they would have been more happy. I feel guilty spending money on this product.unfortunately our country doesnt have any strict consumer protection mechanism or return policy and thats where these people take us for a ride.
