Summary - Never take a post paid connection with Tata Indicom. Trust me, you will end up crying.
I had got the Photon connection with my Acer laptop. Getting the connection itself was a pain. I filled the form and paid up. When I tried to activate customer care(after a lot of efforts trying to reach them) finally told me I didnt have an activation code. I called the gallery and they gave me a code. Next day a guy turns up and take money for that. I told I will complain and after that I got more than 25 calls for installation from the customer care guys:(. Finally after a lot of screaming and crying that settled down, only till I decided a lot of money is wasted in post paid and I need to convert to prepaid.
Here my second saga starts. Unwantingly I had to visit the same gallery crossing my fingers my BP would not increase this time. I was wrong. I cleared the dues and a guy at the counter asked me to fill a form, submit and it was done(supposedly) - 17 Mar appx. I went back home happy, till the next bill arrived. I went back(again fingers crossed) and was shocked that neither was my form there nor had it changed. After arguing with the guys they said I have to clear all my dues and then only it will get converted. Past experience told me - shut up, pay up, get it done. I paid up and it got changed - 14 Apr. Didnt have to submit the docs again since they accepted it has been forwarded to the relevant dept. Thank God I can sleep well now. Wrong!
14 May a bill arrives for the rental from 3 Apr to 13 Apr. I play table tennis calling between 2 customer care numbers and finally am told to visit the gallery again. If my form had been submitted in March then why am I charged for April. I feel like crying at the thought of visiting the gallery again. Better I pay up, clear the dues and get myself free of the customer care frustration.
