It all began 4 months back when I bought the Photon plus service from the Oshiwara store. What was sold to me as a plug and play device wasnt plug and play after all. Nobody bothered to ask me what I was going to use it on. The result, I had to download a software on my Sony Vaio netbook...after multiple attempts and multiple calls to the call centre on late Saturday evening I was asked to visit the store the next day. So, I carry my laptop and the device to the store to realise that its shut (the call centre didnt bother telling me that)... After much ordeal and 4 days after I buy my plug and play device it starts working with no empathy or apology from the call sentry or the store staff.
1 month back I called the call centre requesting them to check my usage and suggest the ideal plan as I was using this only as a secondary connection (i didnt need the unlimited connection I was on). Can you guess what happened the gentleman on the other side was the least helpful and told me I should downgrade 1 price plan at a time and check my usage (seriously who are you Einstein, what sort of a no-brainer recommendation was that). Anyways I used my own judgement and downgraded 2 price plans down. (Im only hoping this ones been done as that bill will only get generated this month)
They made me at least 5 reminder calls asking me to pay my bill before the due date (irritating!)
On 3rd August when I tried to pay my bill online (the method I always use to save time, money and effort to got to the store), 5 attempts on the so called instant bill pay wouldnt progress from the pay bill stage (not so instant you see), it prompted me to log in to my account to pay. I tried to re-set my password 4 times, each time the password generated by the system didnt work. Ultimately I had to call the call centre and it worked only after they generated the password. Didnt end here, 3 more attempts from my laptop and 3 more from my I-pad lead to errors on the system and the page not moving after I entered the amount. Frustrated I called the call centre at 12 am who tried to teach me how to navigate the website inspire of me telling him the issue.
On asking for a supervisor he said there wasnt any, on insisting that I need to speak to somebody senior he said he couldnt pass on the phone and best case I would be called in the morning. Finally he did do something in the back end (not without telling me that I should go to the store and getting screamed at by me on what a sheer waste of time that is)I could proceed with the payment (whew!)
After that I tried logging in a complaint and after writing the entire history I got an pop up saying complaint cannot be logged.
What is this a joke? The irony is that in Mumbai there are the best amongst the worst as far as network connectivity is concerned, I am going to switch over at the 1st given opportunity. Their service absolutely is appalling.
