It is the worst service one can think of. Wish they advertised less and spent money improving their network. My name is Rajesh Jethawani and I took 5 GB unlimited usage plan from Tata Photon Plus with commitment of 3.2 MBps speed.
Last month, as per customer service, I have used up 670 MB because at most times I don’t even get to open my web mails so usage is low. I complained several times and they even offered me a 2 months free trail till the services improve(a good gesture) but the services never improved and since August 2011 I am suffering terribly. I have logged a final complain today(Complain number 293765521) and have decided to discontinue their services if the speed issues is not resolved by 16th Jan 9:00 pm as committed by them.
FYI, I stay in Indirapuram and have full network strength. The network engineer who visited me last time told me that the BTS(telecom tower in non technical language) had capacity for X users while the number of devices sold in my area were 3X i.e. 3 times that many users so he had 14 speed related complain to attend to that day and all his day are like this!
Also, I was on line with Tata Photon Plsu custo, mere support for over 17 minutes and in all that time the site seedtest.net site did not even open - so I could not of course test any speed. I told this to the customer service execute!
I have spent the last 90 minutes on the same shitty connection writing this review(copy pasting from my notepad to the internet page) so that all of you out there know my pain and the pain of others like me. Please don’t get trapped by the advertisements and don’t buy the Tata Photon Plus data cards.
