Ive been using tata photon plus for a year now. I got this for 3k rupees with a 10gb plan subscription. So I got a bill for 1250 for the first month. Immediately the customer care fellows called me up and said you have crossed your credit limit and asked me to make payment immediately and disconnected my service. So I paid the bill(the next day after the bill got generated) and got my service back. The next month the same things happened(this time direct disconnection, no information). So I called up saying the internet not working and they told Ive crossed the credit limit and hence my line has been disconnected. I asked them that just yesterday the bill has been generated and Ive 20 more days to pay the bill. The guy who spoke was good and he agreed to resume my service and I got it back. So as I promised paid the bill(2 days after bill generation). Heres where their irritation started. Three guys called me consequently and kept asking me about the bill payment. I got so irritated that I almost used the f -word and told them to increase the credit limit. So they increased the credit limit and never ever have they called me again. Once I called them to complain about this devices pathetic speed and from the way they responded I felt this pathetic speed is better. Ive never called them again and the speed is as worst as usual. Since I have no other go for now, Im using this device though this has become secondary device now.

Through Speed test sites
Upload Max.- 1Mbps
Download Max.-1.5 Mbps(Ive never seen a 3.1 Mbps-I wonder on what basis they say that)
Upload avg - 400 kbps
Download avg- 400 kbps
Browsing speed: Seems to be around 200 kbps. 8 pm to 11 pm speed seems like 56kbps.
Guys dont get happy with the 400kbps speed because ping response is more than 300ms and data loss upto 5% is common.
So say you are using skype for video calls, the video quality keeps changing from good to worst. Only suitable for voice calls. That too sometimes disturbed.
Say you are downloading a movie, the download speed keeps changing every minute. So I cant give here a time taken to download a file. Its a variable.
Love you tube? Plan your schedule for the afternoon. Otherwise be prepared to wait.
Nutshell: Use like a 200kbps device. Investment and rent for this speed is too high. If you need roaming, this device is better. Also if you have lots of money to waste like what Im doing right now, its an absolute YES for this device. If you really want to use the internet please see some other technology. The reason I chose TATA instead of Reliance for this device is because TATA is a brand I trust. But all guys do only business when it comes to business. So be a wise consumer.

If you follow the comments section you could see that thevery helpful customer care fellow has asked me to send their problem. The reply I got to the email I sent in response was not an email, but a call saying their system is under up-gradation so Im getting this bad speed. Wow! Their system is under up-gradation for more than a year. Really funny!
