I have a bought a new photon plus connection here in Chennai before two months. I have a good experience with Tata until now. I can able to connect at a normal peak time transfer rate of 200 kbps until my Data Limit (Upto 5 GB).
After that the transfer rate has been reduced to 60 - 80 kbps with unlimited usage.
As per the tataindicom web site after the fair usage limit the modem speed will be reduced to 150 kbps.. But the agent told me that after the fair usage it will connect upto 256 kbps... its really working for me..
Also I am paying only 950 per month with a wireless connection...I hope its really worth.
One of my friend told me that Tata photon+ won’t get signal out of chennai city.
I tried that also I brought my kit along with me to vellore and tried connecting from there.
It was connected there as Photo whiz with a good speed...I feel that Really Tata Photon+ is good for me and it works really well for me.
i have a kind advice for you friends if you want to buy a Tata Photon+ get a demo from the agents and check whether u are getting good signal in your residential area.
I can see a lot of bad reviews here for Tata Photon+ Plus.. But its really good for me..
I also want to mention about the customer care... I had a very bad experience with Airtel...
But compared to this Airtel I feel that Tata Indicom is 100 times better.. its my personal experience.
Before this Tata Photon+, I was using Tata Indicom Plug and surf which was also worth for cost.
Even I used to roam around south india with this kit and got the same 800 rupees bill for unlimited access at nominal speed. Even I missed my sim once I was in Bangalore. That time itself I have called the Tata Indicom customer care and blocked my sim. In the same week end, one sunday I came back to chennai and purchase new sim with in 20 mins. The very next day on monday, my sim was activated and the tataindicom guy called and informed to me about the activation when I was back to bangalore. I feel that this is a better customer care service among which I have seen.
This is my personal experience with Tata Indicom and feel that its really good to use :)
