On 5th November 2009 I purchased Photon+ through their site where it was mentioned that the product will be delivered within 3 days. And there is a offer i.e., for online booking you get a USB 2GB free. Today 7th November I got my Photon+ deliverd at my home, but I found that there is no free USB device.
The person who came to deliver said that he doesn’t know anything about the offer nor does he know how to install. He said its pretty easy and it is pre-activated and I just need to plugin and it will start working. After saying he went away taking the necessary address proof from me.
Later when I tried to connect it did not work and I called up the Customer care. They first asked me about the tata indicom number, but I said I did not have and then they said that they cannot help and I need to visit the store to get it activated. Thanks I have another connection of Airtel and I searched the Tata Indicom from their website store nearby my home, but the website did not give any result for Kolkata.
Suddenly one thing strike in my mind that after buying from internet an automated mail came through which my order can be tracked (https://ichoose.in/etrade/track-order.jsp) , and I went to that site and found that the status has been updated and my Phone number has been updated there. So I again called up the customer care and this time I said my Indicom number and then they kept on asking my account number which I did not have and their technical person also could not help me in getting me connected through Photon+. they said that the OTA password will be sent through mail within 24 hrs.
then I searched from internet and found that Photon+ activation is pretty easy and I followed the step and got connected instantly.
Now my question is didn’t the people sitting there in tech cell have any idea, or are they at all aware of the tech. functionality of their own product? God know, if I face any problem in future whom I should approach to get it resolve.
