MY experience of Indicom plug2surf modem - Untrue advertising.misguiding features. Didn’t knew about other choices. Had to buy a connection for my work laptop. got indicom from a reseller. Sim was activated the day after but it didn’t work! Oops Now here is where all trouble started. Called tech support. They didn’t entertain properly. Asked to do this ping that install and stuff but it didn’t work.
Well I know about computers and know there’s nothing wrong with my windows but still they’ll say that there might be problems with it.without even checking their device. OK? A few days later the technician came to our house. Checked the device and said its faulty.told me to get it fixed a center.he did his job ok. At the repair centre the guy again checked the device and told that it is h/w problem and has to be replaced.gave me another address. I went there once he checked the device again. Made a cust.
Case for his own sake and then told me to come later as the new devices are out of stock(it was the main center for delhi-malviya nagar!) 4 days later.he still didnt had the device, I shouted on them but of no use.they tell lies decently and the whole system of indicom is bad. I have to call them again now and verify when the device will be available and then get there to get it replaced myself.
So, now you have an idea about what plug2surf can do to you? Conclusion- Worst tech support I ever had. You have to have a tata connection to call the free tech, support number. Nobody cares even after that. tech guy comes after a lot of bugging them and the device is too costly for being just a CDMA modem!(basically a modified version of the modem present in all cellphones.) So kindly do not buy TATA indicom.
