I had taken a TATA INDICOM Plug-2-Surf modem and requested for a ME6 pack.However, they did not give that and for two consecutive months sent the 325 Economy pack bill. The billing was confusing and inflated with lots of hidden charges. They deliberately did so, for with this pack one has to shell out more. But I paid before getting fed up of their service.extremely slow(the 230 kbps is just an eyewash), does not work in many places and many of the sites do not open. I called and asked for disconnection, which after a few days of dillydallying they accepted.
However, this month I have received a bill of over Rs. 4000/- with the Rs. 3600/- added. They followed up with a phone call sternly advising me to pay up. They did not listen to my reasoning as to why I should pay for a service till June 2008, when it has already been disconnected since January 2008.
It is sad that a TATA company is resorting to something which is nothing less than cheating and fraud. Please give a hard thought before taking any TATA INDICOM connection.
