Never Go For TATA Indicom Wimax Connection

I stay near Airport Main Road, and I had taken TATA Indicom Wimax connection, for the 1st day it was working fine but after 1 day I was not able to connect through internet, I complained more than 2 times a day, but Customer Service Agent told me ur issue will be resolved within 12 hour but it never happened.

I called customer Care and logged lotsa complain, but when each time I called them they told me that they had closed the ticket coz issue has already been resolved. I wonder how can they close the ticket without resolving.. I got super pissed and called my bank and told them to stop the payment of that particular cheque which I’d given to Tata Indicom.

And the payment was stopped.. Again I called Customer Care of Tata Indicom and told them that I stopped the payment of cheque, and I will make the payment only when I’ll be able to use internet, customer care representative told me that we wont be able to assist you coz ur account is inactive. And I keep complaining about this incident but nothing happened so far.

TATA Indicom Wi Max is worst of its kind neither the service, nirther the call center guys, neither the escalation process its beyond tolerance and every one who took the connections should teach them a lesson by pulling out the dishes and throwing them in ditch.

Therefore, I request you guys never go for Tata Indicom Wimax Connection.

Some one will call you offering wimax broadband rates up to 2MBPS and you will find out that its from a major ISP and telecom player in india, reluctantly you will sign up thinking  its new technology and get tempted and will be guarenteed to get service within 3 days , after you submit all the relevant docs you will call again in anticipation and find out that its going to take 1week to 3weeks then at 4th week or Finally nth week you will either find out that either there is no base station nearby so technically connection not feasible or

Luckily if there is a BTS near by your location in range of 3 to 4 km, installation guy with a outdoor CPE (Modem) will appear at your door steps, probably based on outdated 802.16d technology. bcos for sure there is no CPE yet that is WIMAX 802.16e cerified as of today , this is not the "WIMAX" that is based on 802.16e , which is truly mobile wireless technology and has all latest features with HARQ, MIMO, STC, AAS which improve the user experience enormously. I doubt if 802.16d based products are popular and may have been pushed out at a throwaway price, definitely it is a dying tech compared to 16e capabilities. For a moment you will forget about the technology and you will be willing to try.You will realize that you will only get 1 MBPS as against 2MBPS and you will be still happy for 1 MBPS only to realize that its just for a short while and you will soon encounter the huge problem of DHCP ip renewal. ie now and then you lose the IP (connection) and you will get frustrated and try to call the customer care on Toll free nos , only to realize that it can be only reached by Landline and you will reluctantly decide at your mobile call cost a long distance customer care num and after that .....after events I would like not to elaborate.

And thats not the end , to add to above , the outsourced company that initially called you offering the broadband connection would have probably sold your phone and contact details to other tele marketing agencies . Probably you will wonder how did the tele marketing companies find your new mobile number....
