After all my painful hands-on experience with Reliance Wi-Max connection, I tried Tata Indicom Wi-Max connection. I got attracted to the advertisements that displayed on the roads. I took Infinity 256 plan, which has unlimited 256kbps speed at the cost of Rs.750+tax per month(Total Rs.843). Apparently the guy from whom I got connection is intelligent enough to trap me into this. I have been offered free installation of the connection, because of corporate employee scheme. However, I have been asked to pay one month bill in advance for the connection. I got connection within 2 days of my request. I got the connection on October 13th. Then the show started, unlike Reliance, Tata doesnt have the dynamic IP address problem. I have been also offered by the static IP address. Bill generation date is 21st of every month. Bill will be sent to your email address that is given by Tata for free of cost. Though I have static IP address, the connectivity problem started in due course. Worst part of Tata Wi-Max is customer care, who will think you are dumb. When you call them for some help, they will start from step 1 even though you require their help step n. After all the trauma with the connectivity and customer care service, I got call from Airtel guys offering me Broadband service. So I decide to disconnect the Tata connection and requested for the same on 26th November. Now the actual problem started. Though I have disconnected on 26th of November, they asked me to pay the bill till 21st of December. When I asked, they say it is the policy which no where mentioned.I mailed them and queried about bill dispute. I requested this on 26th November and believe me the conversation went till 29th of December. Worst of worst is what ever the things I mail them will not be synced with the customer care group(telephonic) and if I call them for inquiry of the request you have to start from the beginning. In case if any of you are interested in looking at the mail conversation, I would be happy to mail.
