I have been using Tata indicom wimax for over an 2 yrs now. After a very problamatic initial few months it looked stable for around 4-5 months with few issues and complaints. Mine is a prepaid account and usually pre pay 3 months in advance. Last month I happened to notice that my account was expiring a few day earlier than it was supposed to be. Later I came to know from the customer care that some online backup option had been enabled on my account and they had deducted Rs 200 for the same.
I told them I had never activated any such kind of service and asked them to deactivate it and refund the same. They said they cannot refund it as it has already been deducted(what the crap, they activate something on their own ask the customer to pay. They dont even show curtesy to customer who has been with them for over 2 yrs and they also cheat upon them.). Anyways, I thought its not worth fighting for the amount.
But this dint end there. I renewed my account for another month only to be seen that another Rs 200 has been deducted for the same online backup crap. I called them up again and this time they gave reason that auto renew had been activated on it and the amount is deducted and again it cannot be refunded. I was totally pissed off at this point and decided to go for termination of the account itself and asked for the immediate termination and refund of the remaining amount. Again they say the amount ours will not be given back. This is plain cheating and I have decided to take this up in the consumer forum.
Finally I have decided to move on and taken Airtel connection.
