I own CS TDI for about 1.5 yrs now. Car looks good, minimum maintenance, good highway mileage(about 18kmpl with AC on), inexpensive, lot of space, lot of boot space. But I did not like the ride quality, its really bad. Its bumpy, the suspension is not very responsive at all. The engine is under powered and riding it in congested city conditions is really a curse. With the AC on there will be lot of jerky motion in low RPM. You will have to change the gears frequently. Hard clutch makes it even worse. Power steering is not good at all. The plastics start to look very bad after 6 months. Doors make lot of noise while shutting. My biggest complaint is about the engine. Tata could have given a few more BHPs at the cost of mileage, any way its diesel and a little less mileage wouldnt matter much. The difference in power with AC on and off is quite big. But the car feels good on highways with 4 people(again, if you have 5 and AC on, it struggles even on highways). The city mileage is about 12 kmpl with AC on.
And I dont know if it is the service quality or its just the inherent design flaw, you will have to get any repair done twice on the same part and same problem, only then the problem will be rectified.
