Tata Motors Dealer OMR Motors really Sucks

I am a user of Indigo CS DICOR since 2008 and have driven about 58, 000 kms. The car is wonderful and so is the handling. I have got an average mileage of around 14 Kms in the city traffic and about 19 kms on the highway drive. The car is smooth and so is the space inside. The boot space is also appreciable. However, I give below the negatives that irritate me as a car user.

  1. The finish is shoddy. The metal on the boot, just behind the beading, started to rust and a small hole has formed. This is shoddy piece of workmanship. When it rains, water drips into the boot.

  2. I have taken an extended warranty and for all matters regarding the car, the dealer has a standard reply which is "this is not covered in the extended warranty". Then why pressurize the customer to take an EW in the first place. Is it to suck out an extra 10 k from the car buyer?

  3. Most dealer do a shoddy work during service. However, they give you a questionnaire to fill even before you take out the car from the service and drive it for at least 5 or 10 kms. And then, just try and give low ratings to these question and see what happens. They just wont leave you and keep begging you to put higher ratings.

  4. Call center calls up from Pune or Mumbai. Invariably they call you when you are busy and if you ask them to call after some time they don’t call at all. Must be that they just fill up the forms themselves and submit it to the concerned authorities in TATA motors who blindly accept them. The lesser the complaint, the lesser the work for them.

  5. The dealer network is out to get your money, by hook or crook. I gave my car for paid service at OMR Checkpoint and was totally dissatisfied. My beautifully running car became a wreck. They did all to ensure that I spend at least around 30 k more. Only, the cheats dint know that I would never go back to them again. Instead, I went to MyTVS and got all that was wrongfully done to my car re-fixed. At OMR motors they change parts or put damaged parts so that you end up repairing your car again. This is the problem with most dealers I think.

It was a pleasure to drive my car(which I drove for around 48 thousand kms) before I gave it for a regular paid service to OMR Checkpoint. There I don’t know what they did, but it became a nightmare to drive it after about 2 to 3 weeks from the day I took delivery of my car from OMR Checkpoint. They obviously had done something by which my car started giving all problems.

Due to these experiences, I have decided that I shall not buy any vehicle manufactured by TATA Motors.
