I bought a white Indigo CS LS in Sep08(that was the only variant available then).Reasons-Decent looks, good price, Diesel(i needed to run about a lot).Ive driven this car 40, 000kms already. So, i feel im in a position to give a good review on this car.
The best parts-Ive hardly had to spend on this cars maintenance (touchwood) since spares are cheap.I would recommend going to the auth. dealer for repairs since, I realize, it actually turned out cheaper than going to local garages.plus im assured of original spare parts.
The AC-very good, although you feel the strain on the engine in low gears
The consumption-ive gotten an average of 14km/ltr in congested city rides and 16-17 on the highway, all with ac mostly on
The drive-comfortable. Ive managed to squeeze out of tight traffic situations without much difficulty. On the highway, its surprisingly very comfortable to drive
The ride-generally good.takes potholes well yet its smooth on good roads
The pickup-ok for city and highways but you have to go to 2nd gear if you really need a fast pick up-which is ok for me since most of the time I drive in the city with mostly constant speeds.in any case, its a diesel.
The space-Very good-especially the rear seats.Boot space is decent and takes 2 big suitcases
The looks-i feel its neither too flashy nor too drab.It wont attract any attentions though. But gives the sedan look-definitely superior to hatchbacks
Safety-nothing special-seat belts, decent brakes.Fog lights really help even on normal days.
AGAINSTS-i feel the rear seat is a bit too upright for my taste-though it manages to add to the amazing leg space
As the car gets more popular, ive noticed that servicing/repairs is taking more time.Commonly a whole day once you send your car for anything
Be aware that the Extended Warranty has a glitch-if your car breaks down, theyll keep the car with them for inspection by the insurance guys.It hasnt happened to me, but the service manager told me it takes 2 days for the insurance guys visit.it may be applicable for this particular dealer but id advise you to check it up before taking ext. warranty.
Overall, i feel, if you want a reliable, fuel conscious, spacious car with good overall comfort and are not too jazzy type-its a great buy.
P.S-Ive needed one repair job in 40k kms-that too 1 shock absorber out of running those Ks.
Oh-i almost forgot, buy a whole 4 set of wheel caps extra at the start itself, since theyre sure to fly out into the dark once in a few months!
