I have purchased an Indigo cs e glx (petrol) this January. I have driven it for about 5000 kms (daily running of 70kms). At first I had great reservations about this vehicle as I had owned a Maruti Zen earlier and wanted to go for a Maruti this time too.
But I found that Maruti does not have a vehicle with so much of features in a price tag between Rs. 4.5 to 5 lakhs. With a lot of apprehension I had gone for a Tata vehicle but now I feel that it is a good buy considering the features in such a competitive price. So far as performance and fuel efficiency is concerned it gives a healthy 18.5 per litre without the AC on and with the AC on it gives about 14 to 15 kms on highways.
Although it is good to go for its features, what cannot be overlooked is the lack of finish of the product. There are gaps in the plastic interiors, the door gap is not uniform, and the body carries a lot such marks which clearly shows that not much care has been taken in the final stages of manufacture of the car. Apart from this car is just superb.
