I have purchased your INDIGO LX having registration No. MH-02-AP-5208 from Wasan Motors, Chembur , Mumbai on 19.12.2005 from Wasan Motors. However it was not at all a pleasant experience with Wasan Motors to whom Tata has given dealership.
On 22.12.2005 I noticed that the headlights and AC of the vehicle not working. I took it to workshop of Wasan Motors at Deonar, Mumbai for rectification. I was surprised that they have taken whole day to find out the fault. For the first two hours they did not attended the vehicle and just parked it in quick service bay. After two hours on being persuaded by us they attended it. Any how, they detected that there was short circuit because of one wire and the complete kit required to be changed and they have placed OVR for part No. 2779 5461 0187 and temporarily repaired the faulty wire by cutting the wires and joined them temporarily with tapes. They handed over the vehicle at 5.30p.m., staff also informed that within 3-4 days they will receive the part and will inform me. But they failed and did not inform anything till 29.12.2005.
Since we did not receive any response we contacted them and then only they informed that part is available and called me the next day. We had taken the vehicle and to our utter surprise they informed that the part has not yet available. Till 2.1.2006 no response was received from Wasan Motors and our new vehicle was stranded as it was risky to drive a faulty vehicle that too of electrical wiring which is hazardous.
I have preferred Tatas since it is indigenous and I wanted to be proud owner of the vehicle country by our countrymen but the harassment and poor service we received I am repenting and regretting the hour I decided to purchase your vehicle. On 2.1.2006 on being informed I had taken vehicle to the workshop at Deonar and 9.45a.m.and vehicle was taken and inspected at 10.15. hrs. I was given the expected date after 3 days that on 7.1.2006 at 6.00.p.m. as mentioned on pre job card S.R.No. SR-Wasan/G-0506-016399. However not confident with the promise of the workshop I contacted at 10.30 on 7.1.2006 for the position and as already presumed service provider Mr. Mahesh informed that the vehicle would be ready by 9.1.2006 at 5.00 p.m. This is really a painful response and bad experience I had with M/s Wasan Motors who always claims tall but in reality absurd and even Tata Motors have faith and given dealership without any thought. Even after given a new vehicle instead they should have given priority, as Tata Motors claims everywhere and noticed at workshop itself, it has been treated as old one and one can think how they would be treating old vehicle and what service they will give. It itself shows that after sale the service provided by M/s Wasan Motors is useless, absurd and far below the standard claimed by Tata Motors. The attitude showed by the staff is not at all appreciable. Further to the height of irresponsibility and lack of professionalism I further told by Mr. Mahesh that the wiring was damaged due to the Stereo system fitted in the car which was installed faulty. My contention is that there are all the probability that the company is playing mischief and to cover up they have done themselves and if it is not the case then why they did not informed the fault after inspecting and checking the vehicle whole day on 24.12.2005 and even further within a couple of days, instead after keeping the vehicle for 5 long days they informed for the fault which is not acceptable. It is also feared that the firm which is acting in such a irresponsible manner may play further mischief and may make some more fault which may arise lateron on a large scale. What is the guarantee and how should I rely? Am I not kept at ransom? Whose incompetency is it? I had a talk with Mr. Pappu Wasan prop. of Wasan Motors on 12.01.2006 whose response was also not at all encouraging and customer friendly. Till date my vehicle is not yet repaired and in spite of a owner of new vehicle I am stranded on road. The matter finally went overhead and I had a talk with Shri Sanath R. Pulikkal, Senior Officer (Customer Support) , Mumbai CVBU , Mumbai on 11.01.2006 on his mobile and explained the matter. If this the image of Tata Motors and their representatives then I am sorry to say that in the present scenario of liberalization and globalization it would not work and have adverse impact on reputation of Tata Motors and off course Shri Ratan N. Tata.
Now it is 8th day my vehicle is with Wasan Motors and I am waiting for the action assured by Shri Sanath. I also would like to place this complaint before the Chairman and Board of Directors of Tata Motors.
Pl. refer to my earlier e-mail dated 11.01.2006. Further, I received message on 12.01.2006 from Mr. Mahesh of Wasan Motors workshop that the vehicle is ready and given the estimate. Since there was no other option and no logic to leave the vehicle with them I replied that I shall inform him for my arrival. On 14.01.2006 at10.30 I informed him that I shall be there around 12 noon to collect my vehicle and reached at about 1.30 p.m. and contacted Mr. Mahesh for the delivery. He first told me the amount as Rs. 7800/- and told that since the stereo wires were found cut the warranty being ceased and I had to pay. I accepted and asked for the part replaced. He had taken me outside and showed me the complete set of the wiring attached with a plastic black box bearing white label carrying date 13.09.2005. I asked him to explain the fault which caused the lights and airconditioner out of order for which he replied that the set of wires were clipped tightly which resulted the short circuit and fault occurred. Further he also shown the wire which was short circuited and damaged. However since we were ready to pay I requested him to give me the reason in writing so to enable me to take up the matter with right authorities which he first refused and told that he can not give the reason in writing. I insisted as I have every right to know the reason on records but the attitude and response shown by the staff of the dealer did not convince me. It was off course pinching that even after paying sum I was not getting the response in fair manner and was being harassed by the staff. Being firm on my version Mr. Mahesh given the following report on CUSTOMER INFORMATION SHEET:
If at all he was correct he should have given the reason but since there was mischief he refused after consulting his seniors often.
I requested him to call his senior or the manager so I can have a talk on the issue and I especially asked for Mr. Shetty who is the From the facts stated above it appears that M/s Wasan Motors plays mischief and using unethical tactics to extract money from the consumers.
I am cursing and repenting the day I have decided to purchase your vehicle and that too from Wasan Motors. Even after a lapse of 11 full days I am without vehicle instead of your tall claims
