Me and My Indigo

Dear All!

Though I am not an expert in writing reviews but will share my bitter experience of Indigo or Indica with a boot, I bought the car in May 2003 and could run only 10000 Kms till yet, reason, its fuel pump is defective which costs a hefty 40, 000 Rs. It was replaced by the service dealer thrice in warranty and now I don’t use this car for intercity travel because I don’t know when is the break-down going to occur. It is not a relaible car for me atleast and there are a lot of problems. I am now thinking to sell it.Reasons

1.Tatas have a history of launching the cars soon, getting it tested by the users or end customers who face the problem in the end. This is well proved by Indiaca and the Indica V2 launch. I wish to ask from them why were the earlier buyers had to pay the price for V1 model which had so many problems. Same happened with Indigo. They Launched it quickly don’t waste money on testing, let it be tested by customers after paying 5.5 lacs.Tatas should publish their product testing report with every intricate testing detail so that it can be chanllenged in court if some problem occurs in a car.It should be made transparent if they are so confident about their product. This will increase their customer base if they are selling a right product to the people. They will not do so. Why? They know what are they selling.

2.There is a drastic fall in pickup after the engine runs for 3-4 hours continuously.forget about running it on AC.

3.Thought the shockers are good but Is that the only thing for which I paid the money? Pls buy unadulterated diesel(I don’t know from where) or else your car can stop at any place at midnight.

12:00 with nobody to puill the giant.

4.Better go for Marutis who have tested the vehicle for Indian roads and atleast the mechanics don’t blame the company while repairing. Please read all reviews in this and see that all the Tata Motor mechanics blame the car for its poor performance and its stability.WHY?

5.Pls do decide your priority. If you run only 5-10 kms daily don’t buy it or else Run and live in the car for the rest of your life. If you leave it unattended for 10 days then God help you. New Battery will get dischaged, service station will blame you for using a heavy music system or car lock system and will not rectify the problem.

6.Better buy Accent rather than Indigo.. Pls remember TATAs are going to launch their Rs. 1 lac car.

Better buy Maruti-800 on installment than you yourself doing the testing, then reporting the problem to the service centre and then TATAs improving their model. So you pay, you test and TATAs earn.

7.The TATA team will look forward that you complete your 18 months warranty period and will not rectify the problem during the warranty period and just on the 1st day of 19th month, they will rectify the problem by giving you a hefty bill in your hand.

Rest is upto u. Anyhow I am ready to sell my car and am off with it.
