(I OWN AN INDIGO DICOR-LS MAY 2008)
BE AWARE!
A man called Mr.Tata is out in the market!
He wears a coat and is into many industries, including CARS.
He sells 2 cars named Indigo and Indica.
People call these cars cheap and cheaper to run
and I call it even more expensive to maintain than an Ambassador.
This car is for all those people who dont value their money and who are narrow mined.
Please look beyond the DIESEL Engine toooo!
(my experience)
at 100 kms(2 days after delivery): My driver discovered that
the rear left indicator was not working,
diggi could not be shut,
coolant was half the tank,
the doors were not at par with the body shape(left doors were coming out, and right doors were a little inside the body)
Sol. I took the car to Sanya Motors(Okhla), he said the car can be serviced only at 5000 kms(1st free service).
But, my diggi was made fine by their mechanic, and doors were’somewhat’ made on shape.
(first unsatisfaction)
at 2000 kms: Coolant over;
Engine Oil much below the reqd level;
Immediate Servicing reqd
BUT, ACC. TO TATA, THE FORST SERVICE IS AT 5000 KMS!
Sol.- I got my car serviced from outside.
at 7000 kms: I dint want to go to Tata Motors agaion for servicing, so I got my car second serviced from outside only.
at 8000 kms: My driver told me there is a minor leakeage of coolant.
(I dint have time to get my car checked)
The prob prevailed till a month, and my driver kept on reminding me, but I kept on ignoring due to lack of time.
at 10000 kms: the complete coolant tank leaked out in the midst of the journey. Thank god, home was nearby.
I personally took the car my local mechanic(from where my car was serviced previously)
I was told by him, the car Water Pump has leaked, and could not be repaired AT ALL.
It was a mgf. fauly, and he himself asked me to go Tata Motors and askk for replacement as the car was under warranty.
But, I myself refused because I dint have that much time and spare money to waste on going to Okhla again, coming back by auto, mking looong phine calls from my cell, wasting time at the service station arguiung with the manager over there, talking to different people at different positions explaining the prob.(almost begging for the replacement of the part).
and it was very certain that they wud have kept the car atleast for 4-5 days, for which they have an excuse saying that the complaint has gone to thr Head Qtrs at Pune-it is under process-your complaint is with the head official-your part is being changed-"Sir, you will have to sign this and that form"-etc etc .
So, I ended up spending 2200.
Mind you, this is the condition at 10000 kms.
The money you save on diesel(than petrol), the car eats up on maintenance.ITS A WASTE!
Plus: a wastage of TIME.
I prefer, to buy a diesel car. rather than an Indigo,
Swift Dzire; or
Swift;
and in future lots and lots of diesel engines are coming in the market.
Plus: After you get-off from the car, it feels that you have driven a Truck!
So much noise! and the driving position! uhh!
So, Mr.Tata is waiting for you to buy his car, (if yoy dont hae brainz!)
I FEEL OFFENDED BUYING THIS CAR, AND WASTING MY FAMILY’S MONEY ON IT.
Last Verdict: PL. DONT EVER GO FOR ANY TATA CAR.
