TATA Indigo - Never recommend even to your enemies

I would like to share the persistent problems that I am facing with my Indigo and the hopeless services I am getting. Unfortunately I took decision to buy a TATA vehicle with the leaning of Indigenous pride!! But now I am suffering. I brought a brand new Indigo LS TDI from Kulathungal Motors Trivandrum, Kerala on 25th July 2005

Coming to the problems, after every service from Kulathungal Motors, condition of my car is getting worse. Irrespective of my repeated request, I do not get any solution for the vibration, shocks, steering hardness, power drain, low cooling on A/C, vibration on gear lever (plate console below is damaging frequently due to this vibration.)

After 27173 km, I gave my car for servicing, I have well explained my problems. They told me they have replaced front shock absorber. (Of course there is some relief on jerking ). They were able to deliver my car at 1 O’clock ( From 9 O’clock to 1 O’clock, I waited in the service station by spoiling one casual leave!!)

In the test drive I find that accelerator, brake and clutch are vibrating like a hammered tuning fork, The supervisor is also agreed it and take back the car to the mechanic, he pulled the accelerator cable thrice and told me to check again. No change. I told him no, it is not acceptable for me. He told me all TATA car has got vibration and your car has got little bit extra, It is due to the intercooler and turbocharger. He gave me another car for test drive. Being a mechanical Engineer, I cannot swallow his arguments, My car does not have this problem before handing over for service. He gave me a bill for Rs 10181/- ( I have taken extended warranty, He told he will check the possibility of claim for shock absorber and water pump ???), In the invoice sheet I wrote with a red ink that “ I am not satisfied with your service, car has  got vibration and hard steering” and paid money. I went to the customer relation manager and explained my problem. He took the car for test drive and took it to the workshop but no considerable  change.

WHEN I DRIVE MY CAR THE FOOT CONTROL UNIT (ACCELERATOR, BRAKE AND CLUTCH) IS VIBRATING. The vibration is transmitting to my body through legs. You know how irritating it is? The car itself is vibrating. It is TERRIBLE in slow speed.

My car never met with any accident or collision, I do not drive rashly or at over speed. I could not find any reason for this poor performance.

I cannot throw away my car after 27000 kms. (My friend who spend few more Lakh and buy a Honda City and is paying only for oil change during service, where as I am spending money for maintenance (My bill for 20000 km free service was Rs 4531/-!!)

I believe I have full right for drive comfort because I have not paid for auto rickshaw but passenger car!! If company take back my vehicle and give back my money deducting depreciation , I will be really  grateful. I never recommend a TATA car for my enemies
