Please do not buy this car. It is better to buy an Ambassador than this car. I had purchased this car 3 years back ( one of the earliest buyer) the model is Safire (petrol) ABS. Now It is clocked 30000 Km, in total. First two years it was working fine. Then the problems are started. Mileage (at City running) is suddenly dropped from an average 10.5 to just 9.0.
I took it twice to service center and they could not able to solve the problem. By the time I am almost Rs 20000 down. Actually they are incompetent. They simply do not know how to get a car properly tuned. The milage is still miserable. I have no other option to sell the car as I can not maintain this white elephant any more. In my opinion the Tata made cars are very poor technically and after 25000 / 30000 Kms the engine starts giving trouble.
I just simply do not understand why they just can’t buy a good engine from Fiat as mahindra is buying from Renault. Why they are spoiling their reputations.
