Poor pickup with AC

Currently, I am using Tata petrol car (Indica Xeta, GLX). I went to take a test drive for Indigo Manza at Kolkata location. I was almost mentally prepared to replace my car with new Indigo Manza (Diesel) as I was overwhelmed with the New Indigo Manza look. Look wise it’s really gorgeous. The leg space and boot space is really excellent. Overall it was looking like a great package. Now while taking the test drive I found that the Pickup of this car with AC is horrible. Infact some time it seems you have to stand over the accelerator to get the pick up! This is a terrible problem with almost all the Tata cars and my petrol car (Indica Xeta, GLX) is also having the same problem. I could never imagine the same with the product like Manza.

Though I have my own weakness for Tata cars for space and road grip but for a high-end car like Manza the pickup problem with AC on, is not at all acceptable. The car dealer in Kolkata assured me that it’s a problem with all mid sector Diesel Cars. Then on the same day I tried with Linea(same Fiat 1.3 lt. engine and gear box  like Manza) but found no problem with pickup which confirmed that it’s a problem with Manza Diesels only. I am a bit upset and not going for the product and advise you to be careful about this problem when you take the test drive. Make sure you put the AC on and then check the pick up of this car (particularly on the lower speed).

If pick up with AC is not up to the mark even with a new car then it’s a serious problem. My own experience: It degrades more consistently with time and mileage.
