Lets be first think about the option in available Sedans at the price range starts from Rs 4.8 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi. Think about it, as you dont get any better space than this. And then come to think of it, the competition looks overpriced. Consider this, the base version of both the petrol and diesel come with a 2-Din stereo with all the necessary aux-in(s), power windows, steering, central locking and not great looking but decently finished interior trim.
What matters most in a Tata car is the seating and seating comfort and on that front, the Tata continues its tradition well. You get lumbar support of some sort for the drivers seat that doesnt really aid much, but the seats are comfortable and large. The rear seat exceptionally so with its deep recesses for the seat squab and a comfortable position to place your feet on, unlike the predecessor where the front seats rails would impinge on space.
Unable to take the TEST Ride as the TDV is expected to arrive in the next 15 days.
Delivery only be possible after 1 month atleast.
My opinion of the car .
Driveablility : Should be Okay - Though not tested Yet.
Space : Great .
PeP : AS much as the Fire 1.4 Engine can deliver , felt comfy enough.
Braking : For a tata , great improvement - Interioirs Quality if improved - then this should swept away the likes of any other Sedan .
Boot space : Amazing Sufficient
PROS: All in all for the feautures offered in SEDAN starting at 4.8 lakhs (Ex-Showroom - Delhi).
Inside feel, Rear Seat Comfort, Lumbar Suppport, Easily accessibility of all the Switches/controls, Luggage Space, The price for ABS Sedan, BLUE5, Techometer, 15" Tubleless Tyres, Rear Seat Armrest, Rear Defogger, Tilt Power, Immmoblizer, Central Locking, Child Lock stearing in all varients, The Music System is not encouraging but quite OK,
CONS: The Finishing of the Interiors, Plastic Quality, Inside Cabin floor carpet, Paint Quality and Finishing on Outside Mirrors, high Mount LED Stop Light at the rear seat is uncomfortable for tall guys like me, Opening the Engine Bonet is not smooth (takes time to get the adjustment)
I suspect the Fuel Milge to be around 9-11KMpl (in city for Petrol) and around 14-16 (On Highways) while 14-17 KMpl (in city for Diesel) and around 18-20 (On Highways).
The difference in opinon is always welcomed.
THESE ARE JUST THE OBSERVATION made by observing the CAR at SHOWROMM. However the opinoin do tends to changes once a Test ride be taken :)
Waiting for the response of all.
