OK...so its been a while now since the launch of the Indigo last year...and I keep hearing from people that its just Indica with a boot!...but thats really not the case...people seem to have wrong perception about the car. Its more than just an added boot. It definately feels more superior and luxurious as compared to Indica or any other mini car. The front seat is pretty comfortable for the driver and if you feel like sleeping then I sugest you to buy a neck rest which is provided in accessories. In fact when it comes to seating comfort I guess it keeps its rivals way behind. Ive been driving the GLE model for quite some time now and here are few points that I noted...first the good things...Its AC is really powerful and you start to feel the temprature difference instantly after you put it on. The rear seat is very comfortable indeed....and basically its interiors are its main reason to buy...and it even looks good...it has got a nice aerodynamic shape and it simply glides on the expressways. And its very cheap too!..ok so here are few bad things which I noted....althgouh the engine is said to be nice MPFI system...but its still lakes refinement. Some times overtaking becomes a big problem on national highways...you begin to have second thoughts about overtaking. And when you do try to overtake at low gears thinking that would boost your confidence to get ahead..the loud engine noise may scare you if youve kept your windows open! And also the stearing feels so hard if you have radial tyres and no power stearing.
It gives 10kmpl in city and upto 16 kmpl at highways! But overall its a nice and heavy-duty car. But its nice to know that Indian car makes are atleast trying to make something nice!...theres a long way to go Tata motors!
