i bought this car last year immediately after its launch . so by then I had done no research bout it . I was going for the esteem diesel version but unavailbility was a big problem .so when I thought I must have a car which is not common and which wud be easy on the pocket .i went to the tata showrooom to see the indigo ls (diesel) but what I found was a new car stnading just for me .
i bought the indigo marina the very same day . I neither bothered to sit in the car before purchasing it.
now let me tell you what the car is
1370liters of space bigger than any other car on road , the engine 1405cc turbo charged engine I have tested the car over 27000kms in 4month time .
all I found was great .
0-100kmph in just 11.49 secs (whopping)
average a\c on in city 15kmpl and highways 18kmpl
average without A\c was more good around 17.3kmpl in city and 21.1kmpl on highways.
its top speed is around 157kmph
then I compared it with other cars firstly and foremostly accent crdi
my findings were that the power steering was far better in the marina
you can find understeer in accent
plus the backseat had more legroom .the fuel efficiency did the rest .
the only thing that accent was high on was the pickup and topspeed .
marina has a very good suspension working very good in rural areas(i live in rajasthan) and I havent spent a single penny on the car as yet.
the only thing which you could think that this car is short of is the turbo which can be felt easily under2000rpm but when you get over it the turbo comes at 2000rpm and lasts upto 4000rpm .
the bottom line is that this car is the best if you really buy this car it will give you the best value for money
