Good things do come in small packages

Just thought of updating the performance of my nano. Driven 5600 km. so far & just happy with the decision of buying this car. Had been to Shirdi last month with 2 adults, and my 12 yr old daughter in the back seat, my co-brother sitting next to me who is over 110 kg. while I was driving. Driving at an avg speed between 80-90km/hr. I could get a mileage of 22.5 with ac off.

Two weeks ago went to pune maintaining a speed of 70, got an amazing mileage of 28.

Hi Friends,

First of all, I would like to thank all you Nano owners for sharing your wonderful reviews.

I just bought a TATA NANO CX yesterday. Its a brilliant Neon Rush color which goes very well with the shape of Nano. The Tatas have come out with some amazing colors for the 2012 version. I just love my car. The best thing is that my wife & my daughter are more happier about the Nano. This car makes people’s heads turn around.

But to tell you the truth, in the beginning I was apprehensive about the Nano. Since it was termed as the cheapest car in the world, we have a feeling what would people say. But your reviews helped me take a decision which I am proud of. People who talk negative about Nano have actually not even sat in the car, forget driving it. And many of them know nothing about cars at all.

I wouldn’t say its cheap. Its a smart car.

Thank you Ratan Tata, for your dream & a powerful vision.

Good Things Do Come in Small Packages.

The Nano is an engineering marvel. I have driven only 50km. I am happy with the luxurious space, leg room & the height of the car. The driving experience is great, especially in narrow spaces/ streets & taking a U-turn is such a delight.Though I had read a few reviews of the engine making noise, I found it very smooth.

In fact twice it happened such that the car was on & I was still trying to give ignition thinking that the engine has stopped. I would like a few suggestions from my fellow proud Tata Nano owners to get the best mileage, better performance & good engine life.

What is the maximum speed that I can drive / must drive for the first 1000km?

Some say I should maintain 40kmph & some say 40-60kmph is ok.Though everything is mentioned in the manual, I would like to know from Nano owners. Even about gear shifting from 1-2-3-4 at what speeds are the shifting best recommended.

Please guggest.

Regards,

Nitin
