An owners review(1 year 8 months, 14500 Kms):
Economical to drive, 14 to 15 Kmpl in city with AC on and 18 to 20 Kmpl in Highways. Of course niggling issues and service issues are there which are the normal properties of a Tata car! Good initial pickup and smooth to run with 4 people on board, roomy too. Review based on my 1 year 8 month old nano(LX model, full option, no power steering model available at the time of purchase) purchased for Rs. 2.26 Lacs which has run about 14500 Kms.
As Nano makes me visit the service centre often, noticed an ad at Tatas own Concorde motors(Tatas subsidiary Co) saying "We give you the best exchange price" saying upgrade to nano twist. However I set my mind for upgrading to the Nano twist, power steering is required for this as I faced issues while turining at very slow speeds.
Concorde motors offered "the best price Tata gives for their own used nano for 1year 8 months": Rs. 95, 000/- . That set me down. Now choice is yours before going to buy this, think whether is it all worth?(which I never did before the purchase).
New twist in market comes at Rs. 2, 34 lacs(apprx) still spending a little more and buying alto or eon may be a better choice in my view as you will never even face a problem when you think you need to dispose. If not to dispose then Nano is a good choice for the price but long run reliability is still a big question
