I know you are thinking that why I mentioned ’Dream car’ in the title. Is it my dream car? Don’t worry! Just go through my review, you will find all answers to your questions.
A decade ago, not many of you would have urged to buy a ’Tata’ four-wheeler because the local brand was seen as a typical budget car with hardly any compelling products. However, Tata Motors has been improving their quality and delivered out some majestic cars in the past few years. The ’Nexon’ is one of them.
The car included in my family on 29 August 2017. I remembered the date as it was one of the best days of my life. I’m still getting goosebumps while writing this review. For all of us ’Indians’, a car is not only a vehicle, it is a part of our family. We have loads of emotions attached to our car.Let’s talk about how extraordinary this car is. In a market full of compact SUVs, being simply good isn’t enough, and that’s why Tata has brought a comfortable, feature-rich and stylish car ’Nexon’.
Looks: The design of the car is pretty funky with its multilayer headlights at the front, the convexed wheel arches and the dynamic rear-end. I have a red-colored Nexon which got a few special touches like the grey colored roof and the husky white strip of the line that runs across the car. The interior cabin is well refined in its design and well flourished to an extent. The entire look of the car is eye-catching and according to me, it is one of the best car ( look-wise) in today’s era. So, no need to worry about looks, it is far better than you will expect. Safety and Comfortability: You are not going to believe this but that is the truth, Airbags and ABS come standard across all models including the entry-level XE. This gives you a feeling of confidence while driving the car. The driving is also very smooth. I have a 1.5-litre diesel engine ( also available in petrol) , which develops 109bhp of power and 260Nm of torque respectively. It is far better than what it indicates. The car comes with Harman developed infotainment system with 8 speaker system and that is enough to convert your car’s cabin into a theatre and that’s why it is my dream car as I said above. The reason behind this is my love for music and you will also feel the same if you love to listen to songs every time.The car is capable enough to deal with high-frequency bumps and even if you hit large potholes they don’t import into the cabin. The car is comfortable and quiet, with little wind and tyre noise entering the cabin but that is very minimal and avoidable. The leg room is decent, I will not say that it is great but it will not going to irritate you much or making you feel uncomfortable. Mileage: I have driven more than 10000 Kilometres. According to my experience, it has a pretty good mileage as we all expect from this budget car. It delivers between 13-15 kmpl in city and 18-20kmpl on highways. The after sale service is also very good as far as my experience is concerned. I haven’t faced any problems yet.
Finally, I would like to say that you should do a test ride before purchasing this car. It will help you to analyze the performance wisely and according to me, it is not going to disappoint you.
