My Tata Sky remote was not working and I was not too sure, whether the problem is with the remote or with the set top box. So, I called up the Help Line and they promptly came and advised me to change the set top box as it is more than 5 years old, which I did and then on I am not receiving the services nor the service center is receiving my calls.
I had called up umpteen times the Tata Sky help lines, and all the times I got the standard response. "We sincerely apologize, We understand your problem, We have registered your complaint, we will send somebody to resolve this". Unfortunately they understand the problem every time I complain, but nobody wants to resolve the problem. And despite several follow ups, the service guy visited and without resolving the issue, he promptly closed the complaint as "Resolved", and I realized this when I again called up the help line to understand when the issue will be resolved.
My sincere advise to all Tata Sky subscribers. If Tata Sky service people advise you to change the set top box, because it is more than 5 year old, please change it at your own risk. While you get new Set top box, you will not be able to watch your favorite channels... and you are at their mercy. Maybe God can listen to your problems and who knows, probably he may resolve your problems. But I cannot say the same with Tata Sky services.
