Tata have failed in retail operations because they are used to work with dadagiri(monopoly) Like reliance they can never understand that retail business is different than getting government make policy favorable to them and make big investment in monopoly business.
That’s the problem with TATA sky. I took their connection but immediately after seeing quality I asked to cancel the subscription. We have cable connection and we wanted to try if TATA sky is better. But their quality in HD is very poor. I came to know that they have only one satellite and not enough space. Sp they compress the signal due to which the quality comes down.
They called me after 10 days of my request for cancellation. The guy said I can cancel but you will not get refund, you give it to someone else! so they want me to do salesman giri for them to recover my 2000/-. Look at the arrogance. In a time when amazon accepts return upto 30 days without asking a question and returns money in max 2 days. I have got same day also. I wish good luck to Ratan TATA for his ventures in retail because I am sure they will be out of the business in near future. They have lost me for 2000/- for ever.
I had ordered Dish TV before TATA sky. I must appreciate the guy came on Sunday explained me that multi room is not possible with one antenna. I cancelled it. He immediately took it back and I got my refund in 7 days. I will definitely explore them if they have possibility of multi room with one antenna.
My advise to other fellows. Stick to your cable operator for HD because no one can give better qauality. If at all you want to try then don’t try TATA sky at all even if it is your last choice
