Poor service from tata sky!

I’m using Tata Sky since for only an year now. Few months ago, their antenna wasn’t working so I called their customer care. They took days to visit. He charged 500 for it. Just one month after this repair, their set top box started giving all sorts of problems. It started giving serious electrocution issues. The TV was showing lines and blur effects. Finally the set top box broke down.


W had to call customer service again and now they said they have to replace whole set top box. Despite repair, We were again charged for a new set top box. We had no other choice so we had to give in and buy.


The problem didn’t just stop here. The new set top box again started showing problems. It was showing "cloudy weather" warnings even when there was no rain outside. We thought it was some TV internal glitch. But after few times, it just shut down showing anything on the TV other than blank screen. We again called the customer care. They took days to finally visit and instead of repairing they asked that we replace the set top box again. This time they lured us into getting an HD set top box as they ensured it wouldn’t give any such problems. So we had to pay them again, for their own faulty piece of junk.


They just extort customers. They have no concept of integrity and care for their customers. The repair guys they send for home visits are unreliable and inexperienced. They don’t know how to do anything. The antenna they repaired was showing problems again and again as he didn’t do the fitting correctly.
