My Tata Sky service recovery experience is really disgusting. Suddenly the set top box started giving trouble last Sunday (7 days back).
I registered a complaint with their call center. Then I got an sms saying service technician will arrive at 15:20 hours on Tuesday. No sign of the technician. Instead I got a call at 7:00 from them saying that the service technician is now at home - obviously we were not at home four hours after the committed time.
When I called to follow up, I was told that the service guy had come and nobody was home. Wanted to complain to someone senior and after a lot of negotiation got to speak to someone who promised that someone would definitely come the following morning.
Then there was another long wait. Lots of follow ups later a technician called Sunny landed up on Friday. He tinkered around and did some patch work. Told us that we could call if it still did not solve the problem - and he would replace the set-top box. The problem persisted.
We called him on Saturday, and he promised to come today (Sunday) afternoon. We have called him at least 5 times today and each time he says that he is on his way. Now when I called at 4:30 pm, he said that he is not in our area and would talk to the office to check if there is another guy in our area.
If this is how they treat their customers, then they have no future. Tatas name is being tarnished by this shoddy service. After a week my problem remains unresolved.
