Tata sky plus is a must upgrade to all tata sky users. With a onetime cost of 5k and 0 recurring cost, you get loads of features. It is like a built in extra advance TV recorder coming free along with an added dedicated DTH line (that can record 2 programs in parallel. It’s an absolute necessity for peopl spending 2 hours or more of daily viewing.
The features I use most frequently are :
Live pause. live rewind (when I miss important dialogues or like to see a scene again). Fast forward in a recorded program ( specially when u record a 4 hour movie, u can for finish it in 3 hours after forwarding the commercials). Record one program and watch another
Timer recording when I am out of home, on vacation etc. I specially like the ease of use of the menu. They are very user friendly. The only small issue in Tata sky plus that I see is that channel change has a slightly more delayed response. Specially when u start the device or keep it idle for sometime, th first change sometimes takes upto 2 seconds. But subsequent changes are almost like the old tata sky, may be slightly more delayed.
In all I like this change to my TV viewing a lot, specially in terms of ease in skipping the commercial breaks by forwarding them just like a DVD player or a VCR.
