Recently our household decided to upgrade to TATA Sky+. The digicomp box went bad in less than 16 days and since then I was amazed by the slowness of service rendered. The ordeal started right from the time I dialled the helpdesk number. I was kept on hold for exactly 18 minutes (on a STD call) before someone decided to take it.
The answers were just sereotype and I was handed over a number and some assurance. It took over 24 hours for the engineer to come and that too after umpteen number of calls just to state that the replacement unit will only come after 2-3 days. I tried and finally could speak to their local Manager who stated that since they have logistical issues, they do not have any spare digicomp to replace mine!! (height of recession I must state). The web complaint provides an autoreply that I can expect a reply within 96 hours!! So here I am, paying for a service that I cant get. I do not remember having such problems during the cable days and even if they had any, we just did not pay them...simple. Well, its not so simple with TATA Sky.
