Here are my concerns, suggestions about it...
When I bought the set top box on day one.. I was unsure about the service & quality.
I was just in impressed by the logo of the TATA & Sky on it.
moreover, I feel good by hearing that i’ll not have to call cable operators, there won’t be having any probs in heavy rains, if my cable operator is having power cuts I won’t get my cable tv disconnected
sounds good.... & I purchased it for 4000/-
another day I registered for a installation.
they told me their engineer will be @ my home within 48 hrs.
but after 3 days they called me & they were sorry about the delay. asked about my convenince time on next day.
thank god, next day engg. came.
he was good, polite & intelligent. he was equipped with all the latest equipments. while installing the disc on the terrace he make me understood the logic & other basic things. after that he configured the dish, set top box with the tv.

i’ve never seen the quality of the picture before...
in my cable connection there were all the channels but most of the time 10-15 out of them were having disturbance (dotted potties/ribbions/ripples dancing over the display).
there were 105 channels it’s having right now including Zee(s) & CNBC (& I think they are still adding some)
every channel was so clear & sound quality was damn good as well.
great work TATA & Sky, I m impressed...
just some other things I m worried about... & some suggestions for TATA & Sky
- Dish wont get disturbed by the childrens, birds, monkeys (as there is no way to stop them)
TATA Sky, can you please decrease the size of dish?
- I hope it will work without any problem even in coludy / stromy / rainy atomosphere
TATA Sky, is this device & dish tested in all the indian conditions?
- I hope in next versions they will put built-in DVD/MP3/VCD/DivX/WMA (all in one) Player for digicomp
TATA Sky, in your next versions, please let your old users to replace with new for Free or Nominal charges (after all we are your free promoters ;) )
- I am eagerly waiting for the packages. (Subscriptions, Rechargs - terms - conditions)
TATA, no need to mention that 80% consumers of our country are from middle & lower middle class. also people in india are addicted to have all the channels in range of 150-250 Rs. Per month. Please keep them in mind & then put the packages in the market. I heard that u r releasing some in January 2007.
- I am still unsure about the owner rights of Digicomp & Minidish
I’ve paid 3999/- for that. Do I own it or does TATA?
& last but not least, I am hoping best service & packages in the future....
