Last month we have taken Tata Play Binge+ setup box that comes Android TV option. Firstly there are many hidden charges and fee options that Tata Play has activated without asking which made my bill skyrocket high. And since ours is a prepaid service the company deducts money from the account as they wish, without any proper explanation or sharing any details. When they are providing a service its their responsibility to provide the reason for which they are charging me(i.e. customer).
No doubt the digital and sound quality of channels on Tata Play is good.
But the Customer Care service of Tata Play i.e. earlier Tata Sky is horrible. The Customer Care team is very rude and their service is pathetic. Also, the technicians that come for servicing on request are not very familiar with the subject and the faults that cause the issues. They work with the fashion of trial and error method i.e. if one thing doesnt resolve the issue they try doing something else.
Earlier Setup Box used to come in boxes with User Manual and Guide. These boxes just come in a sealed box with the device and the adapter cable. The company needs to understand that the end user is a common man and needs guidance to understand how things work.
In my opinion, Tata Play needs to improve Customer Service and make things transparent.
