A few days back, I subscribed to Annual Mega HD Pack of TATA Sky by paying Rs 8300 under exclusive online offer, which showed the icons of Sun Network channels among other channels.   After activation of my account, I could not watch Sun Network channels.


The screen displayed ’Unsubscribed channel’.  When I spoke to the customtakeouter care, I was told that my package did not include Sun Network channels.  When I mentioned about the pop-up showing the icons of all Sun Network channels, my line got disconnected.  Again, I repeated the whole process, this time another female staff apologized and said that I had to pay Rs 500 if I wanted to watch those channels.  She did not listen to my query at all.  Later, I tried again, and this time, I was lucky to talk to a gentleman, who agreed with my complaint.  He raised a ticket, gave me the number and assured that I would be watching those missing channels within 48 hours.  After these personal discussions, I sent a detailed email to help@tatasky.com explaining the issue.


But, today, two staffers, one female and followed by a male, asked me to repeat the whole story, which I did.  Again, they were repeating the same lines that my package did not include those channels, etc.  When I told them about the URL showing the icons of Sun Network, which misleads the subscribers, I was asked to send the screen-shot of the pop-up showing those channels icons, which I promptly did.  They never called me back after my second email.


TATA Sky does not have toll-free telephone number for customtakeouter-care.  They expect the customtakeouters to spend from their pocket to raise a ticket by making a STD call.  By the time I am connected, I would have spent a cool Rs 50 minimum each time.  Another way of discouraging the customtakeouters to call their customtakeouter-care!


Tata Sky credited the extra amount that I paid [Rs 505+] to my account.  They have also deleted the icons of Sun Network from Annual Mega HD Pack.


I have changed the product rating from single star [poor] to 3 stars [good] and recommendation from no to yes.
