I have been using the tata sky dish connection from the past 2 months and i’m completely satisfied with my experience so far.
The Tata sky installation process was fast and the connection was installed within 48 hours of my ordering from my nearby dealer.
The tata sky is surely a great experience because of it’s picture and sound quality. The Tata sky works on the a/v mode of your television and is provided with a set top box called digicomp and a remote to access all the features of tata sky. Your tv remote becames useless after the installation and you just need it to switch on your television.
I have both the tata sky and the local cable connection in my television and you can really feel the difference in the picture and the sound quality by switching on to the cable connection after the tata sky.
The tata sky offers you a programme guide which shows you the tv schedule of the whole weak of all the channels. You can also set reminders for the programmes.
It also has around 5 paid channels which has the movie displayed privately by the tata sky company. You just need to call the tata sky helpline and order the movie. However, the choice of movie till now is very limited.
Watching cricket matches and news is a delight in tata sky. With the active sports feature in tata sky you can actually view the cricket match in 3 different angles. Basically, there are 4 windows
1 shows the actual live match
2 shows the highlights so far
3 shows the stump cam
4 shows the square wicket cam.
all the cameras except the highlight one are live cameras.
There is also a channel called active star news which shows us 4 windows,
1 showing headlines
2 showing actual star news
3 showing top stories
Then tata sky also offers interactive games for your small children to learn and these are really interesting. However, the other normal games offered are’nt so good.
That’s enought for features, now let me discuss the invisible part of tata sky i.e my basic experience with the company.
The tata sky company provides really good customer service. Your call is attended soon and the customer executives are well trained professionals. In case of any big error the engineer is send within 24 hrs.
In my case the tata sky has stopped working twice in 2 months. One time there was a software error and was rectified when I restarted the digicomp as told by the customer executive. The second time, the monkeys had damaged the dish and I had to pay 1000 bucks from my own pocket to the company for it’s repairs.
Overall it’s nice to have tata sky and I completely recommend it.
