Brilliant example of poor customer service!

I was wondering how come Tata Sky DTH doesn’t have a Facebook page or any other mechanism for a consumer to connect with them directly. Now I know because they don’t care a damn about the service they provide. Being a marketing person myself - if I had such strong negative feedback I would have been running around trying to rectify things but clearly not Tata!


I have called them 8-10 times today and their engineer another 5 times. Have repeated my request so many times that I am sure I will be dreaming about it today . I needed 3 simple things: re-location - change of address from Mumbai to Delhi, upgradation to HD and request for a dish - I repeated this with every call and to different people since every request apparently gets handled by a different department!


Finally I am promised that installation will be done on the same day by 5 o clock and I will get a call from the local team - guess what! I get a call from Delhi, again 3 calls later and repeating the address again, I am promised a call again by 5 30 to confirm the time for installation - he confirms my current address( yes bombay address) and decides to come in by 6 30, of course he doesn’t(what was I thinking!), I call back and he says 7(again I wait patiently till 7 15) - of course he stops taking my calls - its 8:16 pm as I write this! So I call the helpline again and demand for an answer - guess what the first guy says mam har bande ki limit hoti hai and I am like I haven’t called for gyaan - you promised something deliver please - of course it gets disconnected and I go through the pain again.


Spoke again to a guy called Shekhar who kept on repeating that your address isn’t updated, your installation can’t happen and I am like why did your guy call me to confirm the address and commit a time to which he repeated the same nonsense again! Kept repeating it till I completely lost it - even hinted that I was lying since the guy would have only called to confirm the address.


I mean if I was the brand custodian of this brand I would have hot myself! I am badly stuck having paid money for this crap but clearly no one at Tata wants to listen to consumer complaints since the only place you can call to complain is to these jokers! And ya I forgot one thing after selecting English as my preferred language and post few transfers I was spoken to in one of the South Indian languages - how is this slip up possible?


I wish there was a negative stars to give!
