I have just recently purchased tata sky and am already regreting it even beofre my service has started. I really wonder if it is really a tata company as they care two hoots about the customer.
My first grievance:
1) While taking the service I was told by their customer support person that since I am taking the service on credit card and have a referal coupon, I would get two months free on my main digicom as well as the additional ones. After paying it I find that they are not giving it free on my additional digicomps.
They say that it is not their policy. When I say that Renuka the cust. exec who dealt with me said yes, they said they have no idea about it.
2) My house is in the old part of town and we have an angan betwen the house. Now when they come for fitting it they say that since there is an open space in between you house you have to take another dish. After talking with their installation manager he said he cannot do it as it is their policy. He asked me to talk with the call center. The call center said that they cannot help it as it is a policy and then gave me a description of the conditions in which it can be treated as multi room. My question was is it mentioned in your website. The ans was first yes adn when I read out the web site she accepted that it is not written but it is their policy. I find this out after I have paid money.
I guess I was wrong in assuming that the Tata brand would be ethical and hence I am paying for it.
I would never ever want to receommand tata sky to any of my friends.
People I have got stuck but for others I feel your local cablewalla would be much better and effeicient than this unethical company.
