Tata sky + (plus) - a new concept of televsion viewing, which allows one to do "pause, record and rewind" live television !!! A brief on each of the features is given below:
pause live tv - while watching tv, press pause on your tata sky+ remote to pause live tv. To resume, press the play button.
record live tv - choose a programme in the guide or search & scan banner to record, then press the record button on your tata sky+ remote. With tata sky+ you can:
watch one live channel and record another live channel
record two live channels and watch a previously recorded programme
record two live channels and watch one of the channels being recorded
set a series for automatic recording
rewind live tv - while watching tv, press rewind on your tata sky+ remote to rewind live tv. When you reach the point till which you want to rewind, press play to resume playback.
Charges for this new concept dont come cheap:
Digicomp - rs 8, 999 (inclusive of all taxes)
Installation - rs 1, 000 (inclusive of all taxes)
Tata sky usage fee - rs 50 per month (lifetime waiver in the launch offer)
Monthly subscription fee- rs 99 per month (lowest package price). At a whopping rs 9999 (initially) if you want old mpeg1 technolgy take tata sky. For a better viewing experience with latest mpeg4 technology and free worldspace satellite radio take airtel digital.
