When Tata Sky entered the market there was only one player DISH . It penetrated the market and get the share as DISH had lots of loopholes and it just encashed them. TS didnt get its share for its strength rather for DISHs weakness. Even after making Shahrukh its ambassador DISH failed to get its target numbers. I think DISH must be the only endorsement of Shahrukh where his magic didnt work but later TS somewhat capitalise its position with the double impact of Amir.
In spite of knowing that two major DTH players(BIG and AIRTEL) are entering into the market TS didnt take any appreciable precautions rather it depend only on its brand value, as a result BIG became the first palyer to get fastest 5 lacs connection. BIG and AiRTEL has a variety in their approach. TS spent a lot of time in expalining its features but later on they shoud have moved to show some family emotions. So TS guys think Fresh and act Refresh.
