I was an early subscriber to the DTH movement. Our government made a big deal of pay for what you see, but time and again the DTH service providers like tatasky have shown that all they care is about themselves.
for one you cannot choose the channels you want, you have to choose a pack with channels that you want, sometimes a pack may have just one of the channels you want and they want you to pay thousands, which I accepted till now when Tatasky dropped sony channels, some can be watched if you give a missed call others like AXN cannot even be seen on TV to give a missed call, finally when I got to an agent and asked for a refund she gave me a "months refund" for AXN which was 9.49 rupees. if I wanted to watch this channel I need to buy the cosmo pack for a few thousand rupees!.
I had bought a "transfer box" which I soon realised that they dont have the technology for and could not transfer anything to any device at all, again after much fighting with call center people who dont have any brains they gave me a refund again in terms of extention of my current plan.
I used to work for tata and at one point, I believed that they were the most ethical company, slowly I reliased that its all talk, everything is buisness .
