Safari, the best SUV

Against the advice of many, I took a decision to buy the safari in 2007 March and it proved to be worth the decision. I have completed 70, 000 kilometres by this time and I have had a wonderful experience with the same.

Although you cannot compare it with the Pajeros or the Prados, I still rate it as the best INDIAN SUV, for the price that we pay. The service too had been comparatively economical as compared to the other cars/SUVs.

I had paid close to 10K for the 30, 000 service and close to 18K for the 60, 000 service but all the other services cost me less than 2K. I have driven most of the Indian and foreign SUVs and though the safari might not be in the same league, I have absolutely no concerns about my vehicle.

Surprisingly, the fuel efficiency on highways is approx 15 per ltr but its better not to discuss the one in city limits.

I have changed my original tryes (first change) a week back and that too was a delight as I had done 70K with the original tyres.

I felt that after having such a good experience with the vehicle many still despise, I should share it with others, hence the review.
