Admit it, at such a cost theres no other decent SUV like Tata Safari. This vehicle was my dream vehicle for more than 15 years and. I still remember that clear sunny day in Hyderabad when I first saw the Tata Safari and it was like Love at first sight and I told myself that the day I have enough money I will buy this vehicle. At last I could buy one after selling off my Santro.
The vehicle is great, its performance on highways is amazing and for such a big vehicle it handles quite admirably. I have done a lot of Chennai - Hyderabad, Chennai - Benagaluru drives on this monsterand it was an amazing experience. The drive comfort is great and one does not feel the speed at which it is zooming past unless you look at the indicator.
I am not much of a technical guy, so I wouldnt talk on those lines. As regards the problems, the number 1 is the quality of service, it unfortunately is bad. Then comes the gear shift. Having driven the Santro I was very much used to smooth changes, but in Safari, one needs to exert some force.Still I would any day go for this vehicle. Simple reason, every vehicle has its own disadvantages, Safari is no different. We have to look at what we want and go for it.BTW the mileage on highways that I have realized is a constant 11.5 kmpl, nice for a SUV.Keep it up TATA, I am with you....Ravi Reddy Kondakindi
