I test drove a petrol safari a few months ago. I noticed that the accelerator pedal is not in line with the brake and clutch pedals. It is set further inside. So in city self driving when you have to deal with stop & go traffic, you have to actually lift the heel of your right foot. This may work for long cruises but a pain in the city driving. Anyone noticed if this was a newly intoduced feature (read indian ingenuity) or always existed in the older vehicles?
On the old underpower problem 90 odd bhp in diesel to 109 bhp is not much of an improvement for a petrol engine.
But as an alternative bachelor pad this vehicle rocks.
On the other hand I found the latest scorpio diesel with more zip in city traffic. Although it comes out short on the last row seats/luggage space and less tonnage probably help.
