I just purchased an old sierra coz I was mad about it. Model 1993 and 135000 kms done!
Till now, the cost reaches 3, 25, 000 and I think that I need around 35, 000 more to make it as per my choice! Now it has all new sporty red paint, new tyres and imported leather interiors in camel color! Little modified grill and bumpers. I also tried to make the engine smoother by giving it to TATA service center. now it’s a eyecather on the road as everything see it.
But the only problem is smoke as when I start and press accelarator it gives plenty of smoke! Even on the road when I change gears and press the accelarator to cope with, it throws a cloud of smoke which feel very awkward. Is it normal???? a mechenic told me that it’s because of the pump service and repair and it will be lesser after driving few hundred kms! Somebody told me that I need to install new ring/piston etc. and it will have lesser smoke and better pickup.
I am very passionate about driving it but I don’t use it much due to smoke only! INSTEAD I use my other car (Hyundai Getz) much but I like to drive the sierra as I love it love it and love it.
