Never ever buy Airtel DTH. These people may be quick in giving connection BUT AFTER SALES SERVICE IS PATHETIC.They have cheats everywhere who just try to munch money and then make you run pillar to post.
I am a sufferer of AIRTEL who has pledged not to go Airtel ever in my life. My bad phase started from the day when I chose to go for mutiroom connections. I opted for 2 more multiroom connections besides my existing connection and paid 3380/-for one standard(1190/-) and one HD(2190/-) connection. I interacted with below mentioned names for online money transfer.

I was given a transaction id by customer care executive(Mandar): 112021310865637.
But I only saw 2400/- transferred into my account. My 980/- ruppes got stolen in broad day light. The money was also visible after good 24 hours. And most interesting part:’Someone’ raised a tckt for one connection only on my behalf into the system.Summary is that’someone’ on behalf of Airtel called me, same’someone’ on behalf of Airtel money asked me to transfer money, same’someone’ on behalf of me raised only 1 tck and that same’someone’ pocketed the remaining money conveniently! BIG SHAME TO AIRTEL. One of the "over-educated" CC executive said to me "yes, your money is stolen and forget about your money"! Guys this is the customer care from so called No.1 media-telcom house . They cannot do anything even though I have all details of guys, their name, designation, office address, transaction id for full payment made.huh.O lord save this planet from these crooks!
Also there was a complete mess on installation and activation procedure. I can’t type a case history here. I can explain if anyone in Airtel DTH is keen to serve their customer and asks. But I eventually lost my money with no connection.:(
It’s upto you to decide what to do now. I sincerely suggest to go for any no2 / no3 or even smaller dth player. U will at least be heard if un-happy!
I have given 10+ calls ranging from 20 min to 40 min duration each to Airtel people and now I am sick and tired of getting only assurance and nothing else. Eventually I have to donate 980/- to these rich beggers and get connection from Tata. SHAME SHAME SHAME TO AIRTEL.
