Airtel DTH customer care is pathetic

I had Airtel DTH box and we were not using the box for some time as we were out of station. Connection got disconnected. Airtel people kept calling me saying surrender the box as it is disconnected. I said we will not surrender it back we will use it.


One fine day I get call from Airtel office saying they will replace the setup box due to technology upgradation. They will take box, replace and give the new box in 4 working day. I kept calling on every alternative day and they kept saying we will return today - tomorrow. They never turned back and they stopped attending my calls also.


After following up for one month, I called customer care. They said they will escalate, even customer care didn’t turn-up. Today when I called customer care again. Again the same thing. I took Nodal managers contact number and told him what all happened. For that he says there is nothing like replacing the box and its a box recovery. I was shocked when heard this. As I was told that box will be return. He also said it is their policy(which was never communicated) and they will not return any box.


I paid for the box and one fine day they come take it and the says its their policy. Money and box both are gone, for that they don’t have any answer for what they took money from me.


Think 10 times before taking the Airtel DTH connection.
